Welcome to the Alpha Tau chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta at the University of Cincinnati! Through the unbreakable bond of Theta sisterhood, our members encourage and empower each other to be leading women both on UC’s campus and in the Cincinnati community. Our sisterhood truly forms lifelong opportunities of social, intellectual, and moral growth as each member strives to meet the higher and broader demands of mature life.
Alpha Tau Thetas are extraordinarily talented young women. Our Thetas are immersed in a wide variety of majors including business, engineering, design, nursing, and much more. Semester after semester, our house earns one of the highest GPAs in all of Greek Life at the university. We take pride in serving UC with our involvement and leadership in countless campus organizations. Outside of the classroom, our members balance internships, co-op positions, community service, studying abroad, and also a busy social calendar. We are certainly motivated to make an impact!
Looking at our website, you’ll see that Theta life at UC is full of excitement and adventure. In the fall, we look forward to welcoming our new members, cheering on our Bearcats at football games, and attending our annual semi-formal, the GΘLDEN Gala. We also invest countless hours in planning Mr. University, an all-male beauty pageant that benefits our philanthropies – CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and ProKids. In the spring, we enjoy spending time with our graduating seniors through a Senior Tea and Senior Sisterhood, while donating even more of our time to CASA by hosting our annual Rose Sale and also promoting our studies during a fun-filled Geek Week. Spring is also a time when you’ll find our competitive women rehearsing step and lip sync routines over and over to prepare for the Variety Show during Greek Week. Finally, no matter what season, the women of Alpha Tau enjoy an abundance of year-round sisterhood events, formals, socials, grilled cheese sales, and growing friendships.
For over one-hundred years, many women have found that joining Kappa Alpha Theta at the University of Cincinnati has been one of the most defining moments of their college careers. Through Theta, I have found my best friends, a rich sisterhood, valuable leadership experiences, and unforgettable memories. I am incredibly proud to be the Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Tau in 2015. Every day I am inspired by my sisters’ accomplishments, passion, and overall personal excellence, and I cannot wait to see where this journey will take us.
Enjoy exploring our website and learning more about the wonderful experience that is Theta at UC.
Theta Love and All of Mine,
Chief Executive Officer – Alpha Tau
